One night after school, my mom and I were at the mall, and we had been there for about 2 or 3 hours. As any normal person would be, I was EXHAUSTED. I asked my mom for her keys so I could go sit in the car. I, now in the car, turn on the radio; after, say, one or two songs, there was this song. This song with a drummer that played a beat that moved me like no other. This song with a boy singing/ rapping/ screaming lyrics that actually meant something. After listening to this amazing song with a huge smile plastered across my face, I found out the name of the song- Holding On To You by twenty | one | pilots. Later that night, I am finally home, and I go to look up this wondrous song I heard hours before. I watched the music videos for Holding On To You, Car Radio, and Guns For Hands; I had fallen in love. That night mostly consisted of watching live concert videos and interviews and finding more of their amazing music.
Eight months later, my love for them is burning stronger than ever. My summer nights are mostly consisting of me singing/crying along to their music. I love how they sing about real things- not sex or partying or drugs. I love how much I can relate to the lyrics. I love how they have songs that make me want to jump and dance and sing along. I love how they have songs that are able to make me break down crying. I love their music, their meaning, their sound, Tyler's voice, Josh's beats, and most of all, I love twenty | one | pilots.
