This site is meant to be a place for Pilots to gather and encourage others through their creations... through their stories - Let other know that they're not alone in their struggles. You can share lyrics that touch you, that make you think, that break you down. You can send in pictures or creations of the guys that you've done or taken during a concert. Anything!
Throughout high school I was a little depressed and never had the passion to do what I loved. I heard Twenty One Pilots from my best friend. I remember the first song they showed me was Guns for Hands and right then and there I fell in love. I am from Ohio myself and I also am in a band, Wayside Haven. Twenty One Pilots is the reason I play drums now and is the reason I am a musician, they give me passion and they give me inspiration. Thank you Tyler and Josh, you have changed my life. we just have to figure out where we want to be on the battlefield. To me, Twenty One Pilots is more than a band. I am not very well educated in terms of music, yet it is a big part of me, my life, and my identity. It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who has the constant battle between faith and sleep, and while the latter is the easier option, I'm not the kind of person to take it; Anyone can choose easy, but it takes someone strong to accept a challenge. If there's on thing I've learned from Twenty One Pilots, it's this; we're all here, we're all fighting the same battle, and we just have to figure out where we want to be on the battlefield. I first heard the beauty that is twenty one pilots on my way to the Dark Night Rises premiere in Columbus, OH. The person driving the car was a fan and played "Migraine", which had just been released the day before. Never had I heard music that spoke directly to me. As the songs kept playing, I realized that life was worth living, because someone else was dealing with crap too. I have never told anyone but before I heard this band, I had on and off thought about suicide. But now I can deal with all that is around me. This art they have created has become a VACCINE for so many and I am forever grateful to Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. I have now, in just over a year of knowing of them, seen them twice and will see them in November at House of Blues in Cleveland. I cherish all memories I have of these concerts and hope for there to be many more. Thank you for helping me STAY ALIVE. |-/ Hi my name is Sabrina, i'm 16 and i'm from Singapore. I've never felt so connected to a band before. Every song by them that I listened to really "gets me". It's like they understand me. It's like even though they aren't here with me, their music will always be there for me. They are my guardian angels. I'm not even kidding. I'm never alone. Their songs is a great distraction for me from being depressed and suicidal. Thank you for making me believe that 'this' is normal and i'm not alone. People may say things like "You're only 16, what is there to be depressed about?". I really really want to thank Tyler and Josh for existing. You know, i can write a thousand more words here to show my gratitude to them but aint nobody got time for that. My dream is to meet them one day and really hug the shit out of them for saving me from the monster living in me. I swear i must attend their concert live before i die. I know i'm just a stranger and a fan but please i wanna let them know i fell in love with their music so hard i'm gonna burst. Twenty One Pilots saved me and they are my life. Thank You! :) (really thank you) :) Please come to Singapore, i need you! PEACE OUT! LOVE! The first time i heard to t|o|p was in MTV, i was going to the school and "Car Radio" appeared in my TV, i was in shock, It was the best song i've heard in my life, I needed to go and the only thing i can do in that moment was write the name of the song and the band in my phone, but i forgot about that and i continued with my normal life. After that, Paramore came to my city and i really wanted to go but i couldn't and YOU COME WITH THEM, and now i'm so sad because i couldn't see the first time you came to my country, i hope you come very soon to Mexico, i like another bands but with you i understood the real music, i love you guys and you don't know what you been done for me, i don't give up and i'm trying to be a better person, and this is all for you, THANK YOU. I haven't ever been to a concert of theirs but I first heard Guns for Hands at the start of summer last year. I liked it's sound so I looked up a couple more songs and Clear and Drown really stuck out to me. The lyrics weren't just lyrics they were feelings to me. No matter what mood I'm in when I listen to their music I can always express myself through it. Well, this is my story. I discovered Twenty One Pilots just this year from them being played on my tv. I'd occasionally hear them during Milwaukee Brewer games and I soon looked them up. You see, since winter, I got depressed and developed an eating disorder. I have had countless suicidal thoughts, though I haven't done anything totally serious yet. Ever since I looked them up, so many things changed. I got happier. I found hope. I started eating normally again, though things are still pretty bad, I have not given up. And I won't as long as Josh and Tyler keep making music and smiling. I first saw twenty one pilots in June at the Q87.7 PIQNIQ, and I have become hooked on every song by them since. I saw them again at Lollapalooza this summer and cannot wait to see them in Chicago this November. They truly have become my escape from life. Now I cover their songs and put them on YouTube for others to see as well as have created the Chicago twenty one pilots twitter page. Their music is the only thing that gets me through the day, and for that I thank you Tyler and Josh. Thanks for making the music you do. Well my story might be as boring as I am, but maybe someone out there might read it and feel the same way as I feel about Twenty One Pilots. I began to like Twenty One Pilots since April of this year, I think... The first song I heard about them was "Holding On to You", which I think it's one of the best songs ever, besides being all catchy and fun, the lyrics are cool. At first I actually didn't pay any attention to Twenty One Pilots, and I never thought that they would help me so much through the struggle. Later I heard "Car Radio" and I really liked the lyrics 'cause I felt like someone was feeling something I was, like if you don't have music in your life, your mind would be all fucked up and so as you. Then I searched for more songs, then I realized how cool they are and how amazing their lyrics are. As I said, my life is so boring and full of problems so for me to listen to Twenty One Pilots really helps me to forget about everything and they inspire me to move on, 'cause there's someone out there that was having problems and going through struggle and he moved on, and look at him, he's out there helping more people through this life. A song that really helps me when I'm feeling down is Truce, you have NO IDEA how much that song has helped me and I really love it. So if I ever have the chance to meet them personally, trust me I'm gonna thank them so much for everything they have done. And I will never get tired of listening to their songs and to laugh every single time I watch an interview, they just make me simile so much. Thank you for reading this and don't you ever forget there's someone out there having the same problems as you, so you must move on 'cause something better is gonna come, and don't ever give up on you and your life, please.
