I'm so blessed to have discovered twenty | one | pilots. My friend Ryan and I
constantly text each other great songs that we think the other should listen to.
He texted me Guns for Hands so I watched the music video. I was so name
intrigued by how hard Josh hit the drums and how freely Tyler sang... and
literally within ten minutes, I went on iTunes and bought Vessel. A couple days later, I bought the first album and listened to Regional At Best non-stop. Guess you could say it was love at first...hearing? Anyways, I took the time to really listen to all the lyrics, realized what they meant, and cried. I had been going through depression and suffering from an anxiety disorder. My anxiety and lack of control of my emotions led to self mutilation. My suicidal mind didn't let me focus on anything, I became numb to world. Their music made me feel. It gave me something to be passionate about. It gave me hope and made me feel like finally, FINALLY someone understood. Whenever I get an anxiety attack, I blast any of their songs and wait for the panic to end. "Let's take this a second at a time, let's take this one song this one rhyme. Together, let's breathe, together, to the beat." That line really helped me through so many times where I felt my emotions were out of my control and thought I needed to harm myself. It let me know things were going to be okay, I just had to breathe through it. With every song, there's a deeper meaning and I love taking the time to pick apart everything they've ever written. I can't wait to go to their show on November in Ventura and be a part of their amazing crowd Thank you for letting me be a part of the skeletøn clique.
